ATELIER WAS MY FIRST FASHION DESIGN PROJECT DURING THE SECOND YEAR OF AMFI.
I DEVELOPED A CONCEPT IN WHICH I FOCUSED ON SUSTAINABLILITY. THIS IS ALWAYS AN IMPORTANT PART OF MY PROCESS.
HUNITY IS ABOUT WORKING TOGETHER WITH NATURE AND NOT AGAINST IT.
A SUSTAINABLE COLLECTION THAT IS INSPIRED BY THE IFUGAO PEOPLE .
IFUGAO PEOPLE LIVE IN THE MOUNTAINS OF THE PHILIPPINES. THEY CREATE A CONSTRUCTION WHERE THEY CAN GROW THEIR FOOD BUT ALSO PROVIDE FOR THE MOUNTAINS. I DID A LOT OF RESEARCH IN THIS TOPIC AND DEVELOPED MY OWN PRINT. I USED IT AS A REPETITIVE PRINT ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE CAPE.

THE IFUGAO PEOPLE WORK THEIR WAY AROUND THE MOUNTAIN TO PROVIDE THE MOUNTAIN ,WHICH INSPIRED ME FOR THE SILHOUETTE AS WELL. I CREATED A CAPE THAT YOU CAN WEAR IN DIFFERENT WAY S FOR DIFFERENT SITUATIONS. SHOWING YOUR MOOD BY CREATING YOUR OWN SILHOUETTE.

I MADE THE PANT S OUT OF THE LEATHER OF AN OLD COUCH, FROM A FRIEND OF MY. BECAUSE I WANTED THIS PROJECT TO BE 100% SUSTAINABLE , I SEARCHED FOR DIFFERENT CLOSURE SOLUTIONS TO AVOID USING HARDWARE IN MY COLLECTION. I CAME UP WITH THE DUTCH LACING FOR THE CAPE AND THE SHIFTED FLY CLOSURE FOR THE PANTS. THIS WAY , MY COLLECTION IS MADE OUT OF 100% RECYCLED MATERIALS AND CAN BE RECYCLED AFTERWARDS.
